Come on in, everyone! This beautiful, quaint entryway and staircase will have you feeling right at home the instant you walk through #thehighlandshouse front door.
Before renovating #thehighlandshouse, the entryway was unappealing with dark tile floors and a dark stairway…talk about uninviting. Leading into the kitchen area there was an obnoxious door that needed to be opened and closed to go between the two rooms.
Since the entryway was such a tight space, we wanted to open it up in any way we could and have it flow seamlessly into the other rooms. To do this, we took out the existing flooring and replaced it with wood that matched the living room, and exchanged the current light fixture for an open style lantern, allowing the space to feel less congested. We applied a much needed coat of paint in the stairway – brightening the area right up! Lastly, we said sayonara to a door that was separating the entryway and kitchen; there’s no need to create any sort of obstacles to the kitchen (this girl wants her waffles)! 😉
After renovation, this space is feeling open and airy with the perfect amount of charm! Even though it was quick and simple fix, we are amazed by #thehighlandshouse entryway transformation and happy to make our clients feel right at home the second they open their door.
