Today, we’re heading upstairs in the #countrysidecustom to the kids playroom…yes, you heard me right! This is probably the most luxurious playroom I have ever seen – it is bright, elegant and has the most breathtaking outdoor view! I have to admit, I am pretty darn jealous of these lucky kids!
When dreaming up the kids play area, we wanted to do something super fun for the entrance doors, so we chose to install these adorable TruStile barn doors. We painted them navy to match the other navy accents throughout both the interior and exterior. I think this is one of my favorite details in the whole house! The doors are super easy for the kids to slide open and close and they make a beautiful design statement in the upstairs hallway. I am sort of obsessed…and may just have to befriend these kids!
For the main room in the image below, we designed amazing vaulted ceilings – complete with Andersen french doors and windows leading to a private balcony that overlooks not only a breathtaking view, but a pool. I love using french doors because they look elegant and allow sunshine to pour into the space, bringing out all of the amazing details in the room. This is the perfect getaway room for the kids to hang out, play, enjoy the gorgeous view and take in some fresh air!
For the light fixture, we chose this charming brown and black chandelier. It ties in perfecting with the french doors and vaulted ceilings and is the focal point of this room! On the back wall, our clients wanted to add a fun orange statement wall, making the space extra playful.
This playroom is nothing short of light, bright and charming! We are amazed with how grand and elegant this space turned out! In the comments, tell us your favorite part of the #countrysidecustom house tour so far!
