welcome home

We asked our partners to guess what is on our Christmas wish lists this year… and here’s what happened. The task: Create a list of 5-10 things THEY think WE want for Christmas. We didn’t want to overwhelm them, so we didn’t ask for specific links. Instead, we found links ourselves that matched what they said. That way the world was their oyster, for better or for worse. The result: Chaos. Well, not really, but we all definitely had a laugh and was very insightful! So, check out what they said below.

Kirsten’s “Wish List”

1. “A vacation with no distractions, no interruptions, and no phones.
Vacations are my favorite way to unwind and relax whether at our Florida condo or our Colorado home. Let’s just say it’s hard to relax when emails keep dinging our phones!

2. “Peace and quiet.
With five kids running around the house and one at college, peace and quiet is really at the top of my list all year long! But, I guess some noise cancelling headphones will do too.

3. “Diamond earrings.
Diamonds are a girls best friend… well at least mine. It’s the perfect gift to splurge on. Plus hoops don’t stab you in the neck like stud earrings do.

4. “Fuzzy mittens.
I have these in another color, so naturally I need the same pair in a new color of course!

5. “Those furry boots everyone wears.
This one got a laugh out of me! I knew exactly what he was talking about as soon as he said it- UGGs! They are my favorite shoes to slip on quickly to go somewhere and love having different colors to choose from to match my outfit.

Annika’s “Wish List”

1. “Kitchen remodel.
By Alma Homes of course! We live in an old Minneapolis house that could majorly use a remodel, but at the top of the list is a new kitchen! Husbands: Take note, this is likely a very common wish list item.

2. “Pjs and more pjs – the softest ones out there.
Skims are my favorite, softest pajamas… he knows me too well! If you haven’t tried these, they are a staple!

3. “Jar opener.
I can never open our jars… Sorry not sorry. The perfect functional stocking stuffer LOL.

4. “Stylish coat.
I feel like a coat like this is a staple and will last forever. They will never go out of style and a quality one should last for years and years!

5. “A personal stylist / clothes packer for vacation.
If you know me, you know I am a horrible packer. It takes me forever and stresses me out so much. So someone who picks out my clothes and packs for my vacations would be a life-saver! But since I can’t link that, I’ll link the travel bag I want.

6. “Upgraded glue for press on nails.
Recently I’ve stopped getting my nails done every month because it adds up SO FAST. Instead, I’ve been in my press-on nails era and want to level my game up.

7. “A dog that won’t follow her into the bathroom.
I love our dog, Sammy, but can a girl get some peace and quiet in the bathroom? I’ve been in love with this sweater for awhile and I think this at least will leave me alone going to the bathroom.

8. “A massage.
My favorite thing ever is getting a massage, so with this, his hands get a break. It’s also an excuse to ask for more massage from him!

9. “The first flying car so she doesn’t have to sit in traffic.
This one made me laugh so hard because it’s so true. My commute to work is at least an hour on the way home! The next best thing to a flying car? An amazon gift card to purchase an audible subscription obviously.

Alyssa’s “Wish List”

1. “New set of earrings.
Sadly, one of my earrings fell out recently, so a new set of earrings is just what I need. I love Madewell earrings so much, they have a variety of gold hoops that are really good quality for the price.

2. “Hair care products.
The price tag is scary, I know, but the products actually last me a long time. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week and the shampoo and conditioner last me half a year!

3. “Curtains.
My bedroom curtains currently are not blackout, which is really annoying on the weekends. So yes, I definitely need new curtains. I like these chenille ones because they add a little texture.

4. “Cute dog outfits.
I have one of these hoodies for myself already and am so excited to match with my golden retriever, Larry!

5. “Target/Home Goods gift cards.
I am a fellow impulsive shopper, so gift cards are always a go-to! Target and Home Goods are some of my go-to stores to kill time in.

6. “Weighted blanket.
Honestly, not too sure where this idea came from… However, I do love blankets and don’t have a weighted one yet. This one is cute at least and isn’t as spendy as other ones.

7. “Water bottle.
I am an avid water bottle collector and just saw this new color and am obsessed. Plus, I didn’t know Stanley now makes a collapsable straw version! (Also didn’t know you can personalize Stanleys!)

8. “Spa day.
I recently had a facial at FACE FOUNDRIÉ and loved it so much. It inspired me to up my at home skin care routine, and I’ve heard good things about this handy-dandy tool.

9. “Golden retriever t-shirt.
If there’s one thing about me, it’s that Larry (my golden retriever) is my child. Since it’s winter right now, I’d prefer a sweatshirt, but come summer time I wouldn’t mind a t-shirt too!

10. “Bed side dressers.

AKA nightstands, LOL. I’ve been talking about new nightstands for awhile now and at this point I might as well put it on my wish list. And these ones are just adorable!

Sheena’s “Wish List”

1. “A cat.
I’ve been wanting a cat for awhile now, so we’re looking to adopt one through the Animal Humane Society or The Bond Between.

2. “Apartment sized dishwasher.
We don’t have a dishwasher currently and washing everything by hand gets to be annoying at times. An apartment sized dishwasher is just what we need so I can stop complaining LOL.

3. “Affogato.
I LOVE affogato and this espresso machine would be perfect to be able to make it at home! Plus, it’s compact enough to fit in our small apartment without taking up too much counterspace.

4. “Insulated Chelsea boots.
I feel like these are a staple for Minnesota winters. They are cute and practical to throw on throughout the snowy, slushy seasons!

5. “Shadow boxes for displaying knickknacks.
I have rocks from Lake Superior that I’ve been wanting to be displayed for awhile now. I don’t really like the look of shadow boxes, but this tray for the wall would be perfect!

6. “Wall space to hang shadow boxes for displaying knickknacks.
LOL, I’m not actually sure where we would hang the knickknack display… So he’s right with this one. Maybe it’s time to build with Alma Homes?

7. “Oreo blizzard.
I am a sucker for an Oreo blizzard! I have been looking for a way to make one at home so I can have them whenever I want. The compact size is always a plus as well.

8. “Foot rub.
This might be my favorite thing he put on my list because foot rubs are a necessity for me. To make us both happier, I think a foot massager would be perfect to allow me to have one whenever I want and to give his hands a break!

Want to level up these gifts? Choose wrapping paper that coordinates under your tree!
