What’s better than one bathroom? Two of course! There was only one bathroom upstairs at #thehighlandshouse when we first started the project, and we knew adding a second bathroom was crucial.
We ended up reconfiguring the existing bathroom by flipping the tub the other direction (and locating it where the master closet used to be). We shrunk the vanity (which we were ok with since it was a hall bath), and to make up for having a smaller vanity, we left some space next to the toilet to do a linen cabinet or furniture space of some sort for additional storage.
Being a small bathroom, we wanted to add some big style. We opted for a cement tile look to bring in a bold pattern on the floor (but we used ceramic instead for durability), and paired that with a simple subway on the tub walls.
