If you’re hosting Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving!) dinner, you probably understand the pressure to get it all just right. The food, of course, is generally the first priority, but you also want your home to be inviting and event-ready for the big day, right? Us too! So we went searching for some simple ways you can decorate your home (and table!) for Thanksgiving this year, that won’t take forever or kill your budget.
Home Decor
You definitely don’t need to go crazy and put out fake turkeys and “harvest” signs and all things fall-colored – a little bit of late fall decor goes a long way! We love the use of neutral pumpkins, soft textiles, and pops of warm fall color to add some flair without overwhelming your space.

Table Decor
Adding some seasonal decor to your tabletop is the perfect way to bring warmth and interest to your Thanksgiving table.

Other fun ideas
There are so many fun ways you can decorate for a gathering! A few of our favorites are:
A beverage bar with seasonal cocktails or a “signature” drink for the day – anything with cranberry or cinnamon is sure to be a hit!

Along the same lines, a dessert bar is a fun idea to display beautiful pies and other desserts (and gives you more room on the dining table for the main meal!)

A photo backdrop is a great option for a Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving to ramp up the “fun” factor. Make sure to provide fun props, too!

Get in the thankful spirit with a space for guests to share what they’re thankful for! It could be a simple dinner conversation, or even placemats or a chalkboard, but remembering why we get together to be thankful every year is so important!

Whether you go all-out or simply light a few candles, your Thanksgiving is bound to be great as long as you’re surrounded by friends and family! Tell us, are you a big fan of seasonal decorating? Do you keep it simple for Thanksgiving, or go crazy with decor? Also, what’s on your Thanksgiving menu this year?!
