The time has come…the moment we’ve all been waiting for is here and we’re so excited to share the finished nursery for #thelakeloft. We wanted to create a calm space that felt timeless that we would love for years to come. Since we don’t know Baby K’s gender, we knew we wanted to keep everything neutral (plus, then when it transitions away from being a nursery, we won’t have to redo everything). But before we dive into the finished result, let’s take a look at where we started, shall we?
We chose a simple palette, keeping everything neutral, but added in texture through things like wainscoting and wallpaper, and we can’t get enough of how everything turned out. All of the items available for purchase are linked above (if something isn’t listed, it’s either sold out or we’ve had it in our home for awhile and it’s no longer available).
Anyone drowning in baby fever yet? Or more like nursery fever looking at how this space came together. There isn’t anything in this room that we don’t have heart eyes for! With pregnancy comes many stressful things, but being surrounded by such a welcoming environment with your precious newborn will definitely ease the headaches.
Nurseries don’t have to be anything crazy elaborate. Some cute and simple decor and furniture can transform a room into an adorable nursery. Pick out things that will make the space feel comfortable, as you will be spending A LOT of time in your nursery! And if we’re being honest, as much as a nursery is for your incoming little one, it’s also for you. You deserve a room that you will love almost as much as your tiny bundle of joy!
