If you’re lover of hosting, it’s time to listen up! Having a space of your own to enjoy a few drinks with friends and family is a goal of many homeowners. Whether in a basement, kitchen, backyard patio or family room, a home bar will provide years of enjoyment and become the hot spot for celebrations. There are tons of options to consider when you’re building your home bar, so you’ll have to make some key decisions upfront.
Check out our five things to include in your next home bar design to create a cocktail bar you won’t need to leave the house to enjoy:
1. Glass Rinser
Take a closer look at the glass rinser we can’t stop raving about. This handy rinser rinses virtually any drinkware, (baby bottles, water bottles, tumblrs, etc.) so you can spend less time soaking and scrubbing!
2. Pull Out Trash and Recycling Bin
Don’t overlook the functional details! We included a pull out trash and recycling bin into our cabinets to provide easy access to disposing of bottles and trash leftover by party guests. Not only does it keep the entertaining space cleaner, but it’s an incredibly sleek solution to the traditional exposed trash cans.
3. Convection Speed Microwave
What’s a basement bar without the warm snacks and pizzas to go with it? As lovers of hosting, we knew including a speed oven would be the perfect appliance to include in a bar space. This oven pairs the cooking qualities of a conventional oven with the speed of a microwave, and it’s designed perfectly for smaller spaces.
4. Dishwasher
We can’t tell you how much we love having an easily accessible dishwasher in our lower-level bar area! It’s easy for our guests to stow their glasses away and it prevent us from taking a risky trip up the stairs to our kitchen with precious glassware in tow. This specific dishwasher features a handy third rack for all things mixing tools!
5. Dual Zone Wine and Beverage Cooler
Including the Dual Zone French Door Wine and Beverage Cooler by Zephyr in our lower-level bar was a no brainer for us! This sophisticated cooler maintains two distinct temperature zones with temperature control, Active Cooling Technology and loads of other features from Full-Extension Wood Racks to a Vibration Dampening System and more.
We saved the most important must-have for last. Always keep a stocked fridge! Assuming you’re a lover of hosting just like us, we like to keep a variety of alcohol and spirits on hand at all times. You never know when you’re about to throw a good party.
